Hey – It is only 50 days or 1200 hours or 720000 minutes to go and you will all be arriving at Venture, making new friends, trying to get organised for expeditions and embarking on one of the most memorable experiences you will ever have.

A HUGE BRAVO must go out to Tony Dale (Venture Chairman) and his team of merry workers for creating a Venture that is going to be one of the biggest we have had in New Zealand for over 20 years. Another HUGE BRAVO goes to you from us for coming along to make it what it is going to be – the BEST

Applications Close 30 July

Applications for Venture Wellington close on 30 July. So if you haven’t registered yet you better hurry as your signed application form and deposit needs to be in Scouts New Zealand National Office by that date.

It looks like we are going to have around 700 at Venture, so if you are a Venturer or Ranger you are going to want to make sure that you are at it. Venture is a once in a lifetime opportunity so make sure that you don’t miss out.

Make Sure the Hard Copy Gets to Us

Registrations for Venture Wellington close on 31 July 2009 – that’s just 3½ weeks away. So if you haven’t registered yet then get on with it and do it now! The Organising Committee will only be accepting applications after 31 July if special circumstances exist. This means that both Venturers and Leaders need to make sure that they get their applications in on time. Don’t leave it to the last minute or you might miss out. Check out all the details at www.venturewellington.org.nz. You can register there too.

Please find attached the May edition of the Venture Wellington Newsletter.

Please spread this news far and wide. Although we have had loads of applications in, there is a truck load of room left for all venturers and leaders. We have heaps of expeditions and 2nd phase activities planned, so there encourage all Venturers to get their applications in.

Yay – April 1st has been and gone And registrations are OPEN!

The big Venture Wellington news this week is that registrations are now open – they opened at 8pm tonight (1 April 2009). So if you are planning to come to Venture Wellington then you can go ahead and apply right now. In fact the sooner that you apply the better because expeditions will be allocated in the order in which applications are received. So the sooner that you apply the better the chance that you will get your first choice expedition. So go ahead – get on with it Register NOW!

Here we are…….2009 is underway so that means it is less than a year till you “Open Your Eyes” at Venture Wellington.
