7th January - Caving

Description:
Get down and dirty in some stunning Wairarapa caves! Over the hill from Wellington (1.5 hours) you will be guided by the Wairarapa Outdoor Pursuits Centre though the Te Whiti cave system. Climb up waterfalls and through tight squeezes as you venture into this subterranean environment. No previous experience required. Out of the ground and into the sky, follow your instructors onto the centres high adventure flying fox to finish the day off.

8th January - Trial Flights

Description:
Take to the sky’s and controls with our trial flights. Complete a circuit in a small aircraft with a qualified instructor from Kapiti Aero Club. Take control and learn about manoeuvring the aircraft from your instructor. Flights take approximately 20 minutes each. This is a great first taste of aviation and if you get the bug it may lead you to the Walsh Memorial Scout Flying School the following year (and your first solo flight!).

9th January - : Sky Diving

Description:
Are you mad enough to jump from 10,000 feet out of a perfectly good aeroplane? You'll have 15-20 minutes of instruction and basic preparation on the ground, before boarding the aircraft with the experienced and friendly tandem master. The flight up will take around fifteen minutes so sit back, relax, and enjoy the spectacular scenery New Zealand has to offer. About two thirds of the way up you will get a final check as the tandem master securely snaps your harness to his harness, and before you know it the door is open. You will get to enjoy 35 seconds or so freefall until the parachute opens and you cruise back down to the ground. Conquer the fear! 1.5 hours drive from the Venture site.
